<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a desired item among a plurality of items displayed on a screen using movement of an object. <P>SOLUTION: An item selection device includes a movement detection part which detects movement of a user, a screen on which video information is displayed, a display video storage part which stores data for generating video to be displayed on the screen, a display video generation part which generates the video to be displayed on the screen, and a control part which performs control to display a plurality of items on the screen in one of a linear array, a two-dimensional array, and a three-dimensional array. The control part receives a signal from the movement detection part and measures the movement of the object along one of an (x) axis, a (y) axis, and a (z) axis, and allows at least one item to be selected out of the plurality of items or provides visual feedback in response to the user's measured movement according to the configuration in which the plurality of items are arrayed on the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
