PURPOSE:To widely reduce labor and time required for an operation of installing a belt to pulleys, by wholly automating such operation. CONSTITUTION:When a belt 2 is fed from the direction of an arrow A onto a receiving bed 1, the belt 2 comes into contact with side walls 7a and 7b to be positioned and placed on receiving plates 6a and 6band pins 12a and 12b. A cylinder 10 is operated to lift and belt 2 above the receiving bed 1. Under the condition, holders 18a and 18b of a retaining device 13 are respectively located between the receiving plates 6a and 6b and the pins 12a and 12b of an escape device 5, and a slide unit 25 is operated to retain the holders to the open legs 1 and also retain the belt 2 to the holders. Then, the retaining device 13 is moved to a predetermined position of a work 37 to bring the ends of the holders into contact with upper surfaces of pulleys 38a and 38b of the work 37. Then, the retaining device 13 is lowered to thereby install the belt 2 to the pulleys. |
