PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for joining members, applicable also to members of different kinds. SOLUTION: The structure has first and second plate-like members 1, 2 respectively having mutually connected punched holes 5, 6 and superposed over each other so as to be in surface-contact with each other, a fastening member 3 having formed in it a threaded hole 7 continuing to the holes 5, 6 of the members 1, 2 to be joined, located on the opposite side of the second member 2 to be joined, and in contact with the first member 1 to be connected, and a bolt 4 with its shaft part being inserted into the holes 5, 6 of the members 1, 2 to be joined and threaded in the fastening member 3 and with its head part being in contact with the second member 2 to be joined. With the use of friction heat and plastic flow, the bolt 4 and the material of the bolt 4 are assimilated to the first member 1 to be joined. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
