<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outside handle device of a vehicle door capable of suppressing unintended opening of the vehicle door upon a side collision while suppressing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: A handle arm 30 of an outside handle 16 is provided with an inclination part 30B. The inclination prat 30B is arranged on the vehicle width direction outer side of a part 40C to be pressurized of a lock release lever 40. Also, the inclination part 30B is inclined at an inclination angle θ<SB POS="POST">B</SB>to a vehicle vertical direction such that the component force Q<SB POS="POST">2</SB>in the direction of pushing up the part 40C to be pressurized is larger than the component force Q<SB POS="POST">1</SB>in the direction of pushing down the part 40C to be pressurized in the part 40C to be pressurized when the inclination part 30B of the handle arm 30 is pressurized to the vehicle width direction inner side upon a side collision.
