<p>A hydrofoil boat stabilizer having a cross-sectional area with the configuration of a true hydrofoil is provided. The hydrofoil (10) includes a slip-on yoke (16) designed to compressively fit on a cavitation plate of a boat motor lower drive unit. The wings (18) of the hydrofoil include at least one angle of attack, and preferably, a plurality of angles of attack (72,74,76). The hydrofoil is shaped to reduced drag and minimize cavitation. A low-drag surface (90) is included on at least a portion of the outer surface of the hydrofoil.</p> |
