PURPOSE: An error detecting apparatus of a CAN(Control Area Network) interface and method thereof are provided to improve the reliability of a product which communicates with a CAN communication product by detecting the open of the CAN interface. CONSTITUTION: A CAN transceiver(120) includes an error detection pin(Pin). When one line of a CAN interface is opened, the error detection pin outputs error signals which repetitively moves between a low level and a high level. A microcomputer(110) includes an interrupt pin which contacts to the error detection pin and counts the number of up or down error signals through the interrupt pin. When the number of the up or down signals is over threshold values, the microcomputer senses the open of one line of the CAN interface. |
