The control unit is designed to assure harmonious operation of furniture components capable of movement, e.g. drawers, which are associated with each other. Thus, inner drawers (9, 10) which are associated with an outer drawer (11) are controlled by opening and closing in an appropriate succession of movements. The control unit issues a series of initiation- or release commands for opening and/or closure movements of the associated components.
