摘要 PURPOSE: An expected torque for a compressor having liquid refrigerant calculating method and an air conditioner for a vehicle comprising a control unit for operating the torque calculating method are provided to improve the durability of a compressor, driving quality, and engine efficiency through preventing overshoot generation in the RPM of an engine even though an air conditioner for a vehicle is operated while liquid refrigerant being included in a compressor. CONSTITUTION: An expected torque for a compressor having liquid refrigerant calculating method is as follows. An expected torque is calculated through regarding the refrigerant included in a compressor as gas(S110). A compensating torque value is calculated based on the engine coolant temperature measured by a sensor(S120). A final expected torque is calculated through applying the compensating torque value to the expected torque(S130). The compensating torque value is lowered as the measured engine coolant temperature rises and is set to 0 N*m in case of the measured engine coolant temperature reaches to the coolant temperature in the state of the phase change of the liquid coolant is completed.
