PURPOSE: A composition for promoting the mucous secretion of fish is provided to use specific amino acid for promoting the external secretion of body surface mucous. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting the mucous secretion of fish contains a compound selected from the group consisting of L-threonine, L-glutamic acid, L-lysine, and their salt as an effective component. The composition additionally contains DL-alanine or its salt. The composition can be applied to fish feed, feed additives, mucous secretion promoting medicines, immunity improving medicines, or meditated bath medicines for fish as an active ingredient.
