A rotor for a synchronous reluctance motor is provided to increase torque of the motor by including first permanent magnets to increase inductance of a D-axis of a rotor core. A rotor core(121) is formed by laminating plural electrical steels which have a shaft hole(123) receiving a rotary shaft(111), and flux barriers(125) spaced apart from each other around the shaft hole in a circumference direction. First permanent magnets(131) are disposed on the rotor core to increase inductance of a D-axis of the rotor core. The first permanent magnets are alternatively disposed in a rotation direction of the rotor.
