摘要 PURPOSE: An accelerated cooling apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to implement reliable flow control by detecting correlation between a measured pressure value, a set flow rate, and a flow valve opening degree and correcting the measurement errors of inlet and outlet side pressure gauges. CONSTITUTION: An accelerated cooling apparatus comprises a pressure correcting unit, a flow coefficient calculating unit(33), and a flow control unit. The pressure correcting unit detects correlation between a measured pressure value, a set flow rate, and a flow valve opening degree to obtain a pressure correction equation and corrects the pressure measurement value of a flow valve according to the pressure correction equation. The flow coefficient calculating unit calculates a flow coefficient using the pressure correction value of the pressure correcting unit and the tank level of a cooling water tank. The flow control unit controls the flow rate of cooling water for cooling a steel plate using the flow coefficient.
