<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness of a temperature fuse and to facilitate compactification thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In a SPD with a separator, a zinc oxide type varistor 1 is housed in an insulation case 2, a pair of terminal boards 3, 4 formed by taking out both charging side and grounding side electrode plates of the zinc oxide type varistor 1 are led out from the insulation case 3. This SPD includes a separator 15 which electrically connects one electrode plate 14 of the zinc oxide type varistor 1 to the terminal board 4 for taking out the electrode plate 14, and electrically cuts off the electrode plate 14 and the terminal plate 4 when the zinc oxide type varistor 1 is heated, and the separator 15 includes a detaching member 16 detachably attached to the electrode plate 14 through low melting solder 20, a deformable conductive member 17 for connecting the detaching member 16 to the terminal plate 14, and a spring mechanism 18 for energizing elastic force in the detaching direction of the detaching member 16 and detaching the detaching member 16 from the electrode plate 14 of the zinc oxide type varistor 1 by deformation of the conductive member 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
