<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head suitable for swinging straight when swinging and hitting a ball as straight as possible without complicating the shape of a sole face. <P>SOLUTION: The sole face 14 of a fairway wood 10 includes a projecting rib 20 on the heel 14A side.
