<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of suppressing characteristic deterioration of a neodymium magnet incorporated in an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: This electric compressor includes: a housing 10 provided with a suction port 11 and a discharge port 12; a compression part 15 arranged in the housing 10 to compress coolant sucked from the suction port 11 and discharge the coolant from the discharge port 12; and the electric motor 2 arranged in the housing 10 to rotate a rotary shaft 21 for driving the compression part 15. The electric motor 2 includes: a rotor 22 fixed around the rotary shaft 21; and a stator 23 supported by the housing 10. The rotor 22 includes the neodymium magnet and a hydrogen storage alloy 32, which are inserted and arranged in each of a magnet installing hole and a hydrogen storage alloy installing hole 225 provided in the rotor 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
