摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the amount of nitrogen oxides and an exhaust system using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for estimating the amount of nitrogen oxides comprises: a step S280 of calculating a reference amount of nitrogen oxides based on the operating conditions of an engine, a step S280 of primarily correcting the reference amount of nitrogen oxides based on the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) ratio, and a step S290 of secondarily correcting the primarily corrected amount of nitrogen oxides based on environmental factors. The exhaust system has an exhaust pipe for circulating exhaust gas generated in the engine having an injector which injects a fuel into a combustion chamber, an injection module which is equipped in the exhaust pipe and injects a reducing agent, a catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxides which is equipped in the exhaust pipe downstream of the injection module and reduces nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas by using the reducing agent injected from the injection module, and a control part which estimates the amount of nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas and controls the amount of the reducing agent to be supplied or the combustion atmosphere based on the amount of the nitrogen oxides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
