<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which improves wet brake performance without impairing friction performance and driving stability. <P>SOLUTION: A tread rubber 10 formed on a tread 3 has a cap rubber 12 making up a ground contact surface, a base rubber 11 disposed on the inner periphery side of the cap rubber 12, and a cushion rubber 13 made of a rubber having a storage modulus E' smaller than that of the cap rubber 12 and of the base rubber 11. In a center area in the middle in the direction of the tread width, a penetrating portion 12a is formed, where the cap rubber 12 extends from the ground contact surface up to the bottom of the tread rubber 10. The penetrating portion 12a terminates the base rubber 11. The cushion rubber 13 starts from the side face of the tread rubber 10, extends along the base rubber 11 toward the center area, and bends near a termination 11a of the base rubber 11 toward its outer periphery to reach the ground contact surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
