LUBRICANT, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE LUBRICANT, AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that includes a lubricant applying unit, wherein the image forming apparatus has excellent durability and high quality, and can output an image stably for a long period of time under high-temperature high-humidity environments without causing image blurs; to provide a lubricant used for the image forming apparatus; and to provide a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: The lubricant is used in the image forming apparatus, wherein the image forming apparatus includes: a latent image carrier for carrying an electrostatic latent image; a charging unit for charging a surface of the latent image carrier; a latent image-forming unit for forming the electrostatic latent image on the latent image carrier; a development unit for developing the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image; a transfer unit for transferring the toner image formed on the latent image carrier to a transfer body; and a lubricant applying unit for applying the lubricant to the surface of the latent image carrier. The lubricant contains at least: a lubricating material; and a predetermined tertiary amine compound.
