<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collision impact from being increased when a vehicle collides even if a driver accidentally presses an accelerator pedal, not a brake pedal. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag control circuit 7 determines a collision of a vehicle from an acceleration sensor 43 and a sitting position sensor 44, inflates and expands an airbag 6 when the collision is determined, and gives an operation signal of the airbag 6 to a shift-by-wire control circuit 5. The shift-by-wire control circuit 5, when the operation signal of the airbag 6 is given from the airbag control circuit 7 (when the collision occurs), regardless of the setting condition of a manual range, controls an electric actuator 4 and forcibly selects N range as an actual range. Even if the driver accidentally presses the accelerator pedal, not the brake pedal at the collision, engine output is not transmitted to wheel, thereby preventing increase of the impact generated when the accelerator pedal is pressed by mistake at the collision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
