<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing transformed silkworms. <P>SOLUTION: Blasticidin of a prescribed concentration is orally taken by silkworms to which a blasticidin-resistant gene is introduced as a selection marker gene, so that transformed silkworms can be efficiently selected based on the death or survival of the silkworms. Particularly, the efficiency in selecting transformed silkworms can be significantly improved when the blasticidin-resistant gene is introduced into silkworms in such a way as to be expressed as a non-secretor protein and at least 10 μg of blasticidin relative to 1 g of feed is orally taken by first-instar larvae. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
