<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card processing unit which can remove electricity of an electrified IC card inserted into a card insertion slot, and prevent a body from becoming larger. <P>SOLUTION: A conveying roller 22 includes a drive roller 30 and an idler roller 40. A rotary shaft 31 of a drive roller 30 is the drive shaft rotating and driving a conveying part 12 by a drive source like a motor. A rotary shaft 41 of the idler roller 40 is a fixed shaft. The drive roller 30 includes a core bar 32 attached to the rotary shaft 31 serving as the drive shaft, and a rubber layer 33 covering the surface of the core bar 32 with rubber which is an elastic body. The idler roller 40 includes a rubber layer 43, which is an elastic body arranged on the outside of a bearing 42 attached to the rotary shaft 41 being a fixed shaft, and further has a metal layer 44 covering the outside of the rubber layer 43 with a conductive metal.
