<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a forming mold capable of forming a lens holder having a plurality of lens housing holes with high precision, and a lens holder manufacturing method capable of molding the lens holder of high precision using the mold. <P>SOLUTION: A holder sample 101 is formed from synthetic resin using a columnar standard core. The temporary housing holes 103, 104 and 105 formed to the holder sample 101 have cylindrical inner peripheral surfaces 103a, 104a and 105a. Opposed points 103b, 103c, 104b, 104c, 105b and 105c are set on the inner peripheral surfaces 103a, 104a and 105a and the positions of them are measured.
