PURPOSE: A metal-carbon nanotube composite powder is provided to embed carbon nanotube in metal powder, thereby manufacturing an emitter of high density vertically arranged. CONSTITUTION: A metal-carbon nanotube composite powder(1) comprises: metal powder(10); and carbon nanotubes(20) containing an embedded region(24), and an exposed region(22) extended from the embedded region. A metal-carbon nanotube composite powder comprises a dispersant dispersing and accepting the metal-carbon nanotube composite powder. A field emission device comprises an emitter consisting of the metal-carbon nanotube composite.
