The invention relates to a method and a device for observing a driver (2) of a vehicle by means of at least one image capturing unit (3) arranged on a steering wheel (1.2). According to the invention, a changing position of the image capturing unit (3), resulting from a steering movement, relative to a static reference line predefined in the passenger compartment (1) of the vehicle or relative to a number of static reference points predefined in the passenger compartment (1) of the vehicle is acquired by means of acquired image data and used to determine a steering wheel angle. |
