<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that maintains a constant amount of ink absorbed from a recording head regardless of the remaining amount of ink and accurately manages the remaining amount of ink, and to provide a cleaning method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: While a pressure pump relative to a main tank is stopped, a suction pump relative to a recording head is started to drive. The suction pump is stopped after a period of predetermined time, and thereby a space between a choke valve installed in the middle of an ink supply passage and the inside of a cap is decompressed. After the suction pump is stopped, the pressure pump is then started to drive so that the choke valve is opened to allow ink upstream the choke valve to flow downstream. As a result, time when the ink is absorbed and the amount of ink absorbed from the recording head are kept constant regardless of the remaining amount of ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
