PURPOSE: A road information providing system which utilizes a navigation device is provided to improve driving safety by accurately and quickly providing road information transmitted to the navigation device to a user. CONSTITUTION: A road information providing apparatus(120) provides road information. A navigation device(110) provides location information. The road information providing apparatus comprises a sensor(122) and a transmission unit(124). The sensor senses the road information. The transmission unit wirelessly transmits the road information. The navigation device comprises a receiver(118). The receiver receives information from the transmission unit.
