<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of stably fixing a toner image to a recording medium by reducing the loss of heat energy in the fixing device and to provide an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor drum 3, an electrifier 5, an exposure unit 1, a developing device 2, an intermediate transfer belt unit 8, and a fixing unit 12 fixing the toner image to the recording medium. In the image forming apparatus 100, the fixing unit 12 includes a fixing part 12a including a fixing roller 122, a heating member 123, and a fixing belt 121 and a pressure part 12b including a pressure roller 125. The heating member 123 is arranged near the circumferential part of the fixing roller 122, to cover the circumferential part of the fixing roller 122, an opening 126 is formed in the heating member 123, and both ends 123e1 and 123e2 of the heating member 123 are arranged in positions closer to the side of the pressure part 12b than the center axis O of the fixing roller 122. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
