<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately heat a treating material by having a sufficient thermal gradient from a one end side to the other end side of the treating material in the heating treatment of the treating material such as a long slab in a heating furnace in which regenerative burners are provided in a pair at both sides in the conveying direction of the treating material conveyed in the heating furnace. <P>SOLUTION: In the regenerative burners 20a, 20b provided in a pair on both sides in the conveying direction of the treating material 1 conveyed in the heating furnace 10, upon switching combustion operation and heat storing operation alternately, during the heat storage operation of one regenerative burner 20b, the amount of combustion exhaust gas discharged from an exhaust gas discharge pipe 26b through a heat storage chamber 22b is reduced or the discharge of the combustion exhaust gas is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
