The system has a delivery unit comprising three flow paths for cooling and heating of air. A partial air mass-flow guided through two of the flow paths exhibits common temperature when another partial air mass flows guided the other flow path exhibits certain temperature. A temperature flap (9) with segments (9a, 9b) is utilized as a control unit, where the segments are rigidly coupled to each other and rotatable around a rotational axis (10), so that the partial air mass flows guided through the flow paths are controllable based on position of the temperature flap. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an air conditioning system.
