<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle which can effectively prevent a traveling lane deviation resulting from an input error from occurring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A controlling device (steering ECU) judges whether a steering operation by a driver is an input error or not (steps 301 to 305). In concrete, the steering operation is judged to be an input error when the steering operation by the driver is one which makes the vehicle deviate from the traveling lane (the step 301: YES), and also, it is estimated that there is no intention of the driver for a lane change (finally the step 305: NO). Then, when being the input error is judged, a control target angle θt* which is calculated in the steering ECU is repealed, and the change of the steering angle in response to the steering operation is not executed (a step 306).
