PURPOSE: A noise predicting device and a method thereof are provided to predict noises generated by each noise source of a vehicle and transferred to ears of passengers through various transfer paths so that the noise generated in the vehicle is controlled. CONSTITUTION: A noise predicting device comprises a vibration signal measuring member(11), a vibration signal extracting member(12), an acoustic pressure signal generating member(13), and an acoustic pressure signal synthesizing member(14). The vibration signal extracting member extracts vibration signals generated by a corresponding noise source from the vibration signals measured in the each noise source by the vibration signal measuring member. The acoustic pressure signal generating member generates acoustic pressure signals by performing a convolution of a corresponding transfer function in the vibration signals extracted by the vibration signal extraction member. The acoustic pressure signal synthesizing member synthesizes and outputs the acoustic pressure signals generated by the acoustic pressure signal generating member into sounds. |
