PURPOSE: An auto transmission is provided to improve the fuel ratio and the idle stop functions of an automobile and reduce transmission shock. CONSTITUTION: An auto transmission comprises a transmission unit(70), a clutch unit(52), and a power transmission unit(50). The transmission unit comprises a input shaft(72) and an oil pump(74) and adjusts the power of an engine(10) according to driving conditions. The power transmission unit is installed between an engine and the oil pump and comprises a planetary gear set(30). The planetary gear set runs the oil pump in case the engine is stopped.
