PURPOSE: A polarization illumination system is provided to emit light in which polarization direction is different according to wavelength by color by forming a polarization means or double refraction medium into a plurality of sections in which the polarization direction or double refraction property is different. CONSTITUTION: A polarization means(10) polarizes light emitted from a light source(8). Double refraction medium(20) refracts twice the light emitted from the polarization means. The polarization means and the double refraction medium are laminated with each other. The light passing through the double refraction medium is emitted in a lighting space(S). A polarized light reflection object(60a) reflects the light entered in the lighting space. |
