Disclosed is a layout support device including: a route obtaining unit to obtain, for each of users who use an image forming apparatus, a route in a predetermined area in which the image forming device is installed; a recommended arrangement calculating unit to calculate a recommended arrangement of the image forming device in the predetermined area in accordance with a positional relation between the route of each user obtained by the route obtaining unit and a position in which the image forming device is installed; and a display unit to display the recommended arrangement calculated by the recommended arrangement calculating unit.
