Optical memory material - for dotwise information storage by local evaporation of absorbent memory layer on photoconductive layer

An optical memory for the permanent dotwise or holographic storage of information consists of a photoconductive layer between coatings. One of the latter, the memory layer, can be treated by an excessive locally produced flow of heat to remove part of its material by evapn. The new memory material results in a fast write-in process without any special developing or fixing by the local destruction of a thin memory film. The storage is permanent, and the readout is non-destructive and can be repeated as often as desired. The mfr. is simple and uses conventional technology.
