Provided is an illuminating apparatus, whereby a light emitting panel can be more efficiently replaced. An illuminating apparatus (1) is provided with: a plurality of light emitting panels (100), each of which has the light emitting surface; a housing (10), which has an opening (13h) from which the light emitting surface is exposed to the outside, and which houses the light emitting panels (100) stacked in the direction in which each light emitting surface is on the opening (13h) side; an ejecting section (30) for taking out, from among the light emitting panels (100) housed in the housing (10), a light emitting panel (100) from the housing (10), said light emitting panel having the light emitting surface exposed from the opening (13h); and a panel checking section (20), which can check whether there are light emitting panels in the housing (10) or not, other than the light emitting panel (100) having the light emitting surface exposed from the opening (13h). |
