A side seal for a linear guide device has as constituent parts a seal member, a support plate for supporting the seal member, and a cover (scraper); the sealing function of the side seal is changed according to the use thereof, and the side seal sealing performance is improved. For a seal member, a plurality of types of seal members (1A-1B) are prepared that differ in at least one of the following characteristics: the inclination of a lip part (11a-11f); the material quality; the thickness; or the end shape. From these seal members a plurality of appropriate members are selected and combined with the same number of covers and support plates to construct a side seal. |
