A robot platform for climbing posts comprising a frame (1) formed by four semicircular sectors hinged in pairs in parallel planes. It also comprises two joints (6), including a detachable joint and a hinged joint that keep together the frame (1) and allow closing the platform around the post. Moreover, the robot platform comprises a cover (7) that houses accessories, and at least three radially arranged wheels (2) in contact with the post surface. The robot platform also comprises a pressure mechanism (3) that urges the wheels against the post, motive means, transmission means (8) and remote control means (12) for the robot. The robot platform can be used in the fields in which lifting robot platforms are designed, manufactured, produced or used, such as the mechanical machinery and equipment industry, the electrical, electronic and optical tools and equipment industry, and the transport equipment industry.
