<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection device and a detection method suitable for analyzing many nuclear species under high background radiation in a nuclear power plant. <P>SOLUTION: Plural (three or more) radiation detectors capable of analyzing nuclear species are used, and among the plural radiation detectors, a group of detectors installed in facing positions and a group of detectors installed in non-facing positions constitute a radiation detection device. Each of the radiation detectors has a function to measure a measurement time and a pulse height of a gamma ray, and each of the detectors measures a measurement time and a pulse height of a gamma ray. The group of detectors installed in facing positions and the group of detectors installed in non-facing positions respectively make a determination whether a counting was made simultaneously or non-simultaneously, and analyze nuclear species on basis of information on the determination whether a counting was made simultaneously or non-simultaneously and information on gamma ray energy calculated from the pulse height information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
