PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of rationally reducing the number of imaged images while maintaining a probability that images meeting an imaging intention can be imaged so as to achieve energy saving such as reduction in photographing time and storage time and saving of a recording medium.
SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has an imaging optical system, electrical imaging means, and focus evaluation value acquisition means for acquiring image signals of multiple points in an imaging screen by changing focus positions prior to imaging so as to acquire a focus evaluation value corresponding to a contrast component. The apparatus automatically changes a focus interval of a focus bracket according to a magnitude of the focus evaluation value acquired by the focus evaluation value acquisition means. When the magnitude of the focus evaluation value acquired by the focus evaluation value acquisition means is equal to or more than a first prescribed value, the focus interval of the focus bracket is made smaller than a prescribed interval while the magnitude is less than a second prescribed value, the focus interval of the focus bracket is made greater than the prescribed interval.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
