<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local feature amount calculation device capable of calculating a local feature amount at high-speed. <P>SOLUTION: A local feature amount calculation device 1 comprises: a feature point neighbor region extraction unit 11 for extracting a feature point p and a neighbor region NR set for the neighborhood of the feature point p, from an image TP; a direction intensity calculation unit 12 for calculating an edge gradient direction θ and an edge intensity m of each pixel in the neighbor region NR, respectively; a main axis direction detection unit 13 for detecting a main axis direction v in the neighbor region NR; and a local feature amount calculation unit 16 for calculating a local feature amount d of the feature point p by voting the edge intensity of an attention pixel according to a corrected edge gradient direction acquired by correcting the edge gradient direction θ of the attention pixel according to the main axis direction v, for a vote cell to which the attention pixel belongs among vote cells of a rotated vote cell pattern CP' acquired by rotating a reference vote cell pattern by an angle corresponding to the main axis direction v. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
