<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for accumulating a yarn bundle, which: when accumulating a linear yarn bundle, cuts a yarn continuously supplied at a predetermined length, and when dropping a yarn bundle into a yarn bundle-accumulating groove, neatly piles the yarn bundle without generating disorder of yarns, to thereby produce a straight yarn bundle; easily deals with product types different in number or length of the yarn bundle to have high productivity; and has high reliability in quality. <P>SOLUTION: The method for accumulating a yarn bundle, in which a yarn 4 is fed and is accumulated to a yarn bundle 18, comprises: clamping and feeding the yarn 4 by yarn-clamping means 11 of a yarn feeding mechanism 10 (Step 1); while holding the yarn 4 so as to have a space at a predetermined interval by a pair of yarn-holding means 13a and 13b of a yarn transfer mechanism 12, cutting the yarn 4 on a feeding side of the yarn 4 and the outside of the pair of yarn-holding means 13a and 13b (Step 2); welding and bundling the yarn 4 in the inside or outside of the pair of yarn-holding means 13a and 13b by heating means 15 (Step 3); storing the yarn 4 (Step 4); and repeating Step 1 to Step 4 to accumulate the predetermined number of the yarn bundles 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
