<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover such as a chain cover fixed to an engine for further reducing vibration and noises. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of circular partition parts 17 having circular outer peripheries are disposed in a center area of the chain cover 7. The circular partition parts are formed to be concave relative to a surface 7a of the chain cover and convex relative to a reverse 7b thereof, and to be continuous curved surface by a continuous curve on at least the surface side. Since the circular partition parts provided on the surface of the cover are formed with their concave curved surfaces, plane (flat) parts of the cover are reduced to suppress radial sounds from the cover, thus reducing noises. The circular partition parts, of which three adjacent ones are disposed in a triangular shape where their outer peripheries contact one another, can be arranged on the surface of the chain cover in the densest state to minimize plane spaces as encircled areas 18, thus reducing radial sounds from the surface of the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
