LONG AND SHORT-COMPOUNDED SPUN YARN WOVEN FABRIC AND PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance fabric with less dimensional change ratio and high washing durability, especially with less fuzz and less change of feeling after repetitive washes while keeping good feeling and softness as a fabric suitable for e.g. a school or other uniform.

SOLUTION: A long and short-compounded spun yarn woven fabric comprising a double ply yarn or a triple ply yarn in at least a portion thereof has a favorable feature of one of its surfaces singed. The double ply yarn or the triple ply yarn can be obtained by aligning two to three long and short-compounded spun yarns and then twisting them. The spun yarns can be obtained by opening and mixing a synthetic fiber multifilament and a short fiber.
