<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful ink consumption due to nozzle cleaning by urging a user to use, on a priority basis, a printer whose nozzle for discharging ink is about to be dry among plural printers on a network at the time of printing. <P>SOLUTION: A network printer setting management unit 17 detects last print date of plural printers on a network 3 at the time of printing, selects printers whose elapse time periods from their last print date until the time of the printing are within a pre-set range of elapse time periods, determines a printer having the highest predetermined priority among the selected printers as a print destination, checks whether or not the print destination can be changed to the determined printer, and changes the print destination from a printer specified at the time of the printing to the determined printer when confirming that the print destination can be changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
