<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal playback device and an image signal playback method, capable of easily identify a prescribed person out of a plurality of persons displayed on a monitor. <P>SOLUTION: An image signal playback device 600 comprises: a feature amount storage part 160 to memorize a feature amount of a face of a specific person; an image acquisition part 604 to acquire an image signal; a face extraction part 180 to extract one or a plurality of faces within an image frame of the image signal; a similarity calculation part 182 to calculate a feature amount of extracted one or a plurality of faces and to calculate a similarity to the feature amount of the face of the specific person; a similarity comparator 184 to compare the similarity with a prescribed threshold; an image superimposition part 190 to superimpose an index in a mode to specify a face at a face or its periphery having a similarity more than or equal to the prescribed threshold within an image frames; a monitor 622; and an image output unit 130 to output onto the monitor 622 an image signal superimposed with the index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
