<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, which can acquire a log of transformed data and store the log even when a print processing is stopped at a main printer, and to provide a method for storing a log. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a transforming unit 202 for transforming received print data into transformed data; a printing unit 208 for printing the transformed data for each page; a detecting unit 206 for detecting a print error; a communicating unit 201 for transmitting a command for printing unprinted pages to a sub-printer and receiving the information for specifying printed pages from the sub-printer when a print error is detected; and a storing unit 250 for storing the transformed data corresponding to the pages specified by the received data, as a log. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
