Anti-microbial surface layer with embedded adsorbencies

Antimicrobial surface layer of a substrate body e.g. door handle made of an antimicrobial material or a material containing an antimicrobial material, comprises spherical adsorbents in the form of activated carbon beads, embedded in the surface. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the antimicrobial surface layer as an antimicrobial coating or as a coating material containing an antimicrobial material, comprising applying a coating material consisting of an antimicrobial material or a material containing an antimicrobial material, on the surface of a substrate body, heating until the coating material reaches a gel-like state, and applying and embedding the spherical adsorbents on the surface of the coating material that is present in gelled state; (2) producing the antimicrobial surface layer as a top material layer of a substrate body, comprising heating the top material layer of a substrate body consisting of an antimicrobial material or a material containing an antimicrobial material, until the surface layer reaches a gel-like state or a softened state, and applying and embedding the spherical adsorbents on the surface of the coating material; and (3) producing the antimicrobial surface layer formed by an antimicrobial material with embedded spherical adsorbents, comprising bonding the antimicrobial material and spherical adsorbents using an adhesive and fixing it on the surface of the substrate body.
