The watch has a movement (3) in contact with a middle (1) and in contact with a cover. A casing ring (4) is in contact with the middle. The casing ring includes an inner peripheral face e.g. truncated cone-shaped inner peripheral face (8), with a profile provided with a region. The movement is secured to an outer peripheral face e.g. truncated cone-shaped outer peripheral face (7), whose profile includes another region. The inner and outer peripheral faces are in contact with each other in the regions. An independent claim is also included for a method for casing a movement of a watch.
