In order to clean a component disposed within a process air circuit of a washer/dryer or dryer, particularly an evaporator (EV) of a condenser device, condensed water obtained in the process air circuit from drying moist laundry and collected in a condensed water pan (KW) is guided to a rinsing chamber (SB) of a collection container (SA) provided above the evaporator (EV), which, in addition to the rinsing chamber (SB), also has an overflow region serving as a storage chamber (SP); the condenser water received by the rinsing chamber can be dispensed to the respective component (EV) as a gush of water by suddenly opening the outlet side of the rinsing chamber, and the condenser water contained in the storage chamber (SP) can be guided away by draining the collection container (SA). |
