PURPOSE: A slab reduction apparatus and a continuous casting method using the same are provided to easily press slab using a plurality of roll assemblies. CONSTITUTION: A slab reduction apparatus(1000) comprises first, second, and third roll assemblies(100,200,300) which press slab. The first roll assembly has a plurality of flat rolls(110). The second roll assembly has a plurality of first type convex rolls(210). The third roll assembly has a plurality of second type convex rolls(310) in which the width of a projected portion is smaller than the width of a projected portion of the first type convex roll.
